Judaic Studies
The Judaic Studies curriculum at Northwest Yeshiva High School has been designed uniquely for our students. The program is responsive to the educational and intellectual needs of our students and aimed at cultivating Torah scholarship.
Courses include:
- Minyan (Prayers)
- Talmud/Torah SheBe'A1 Peh (Rabbinic Legislation and Literature)
- Chumash (Biblical Text and Commentaries)
- Halacha (Rabbinic Legislation and Codification)
- Navi (Prophets)
- Jewish History
- Parasha (Weekly Torah Portion)
- Topics in Torah Thought
- Judaic Studies
General Studies
College-preparatory, consisting of required full cycles in:
- Language Arts
- Social Studies
- Mathematics
- Science
- Foreign Language
Instruction is also offered in:
- Fine Arts
- Physical Education
- Health.
Students may elect to pursue Advanced Placement study in most disciplines.
Special programs, assemblies, field trips, play-going, and guest speakers, enrich our program.
Student writing reaches wider audiences through the publication Reflections, and through writing contests and computer writing networks.
